RubyMac is a premium confectionery concept built around one of the rarest chocolate discoveries in decades - ruby chocolate. Naturally pink in colour with a subtle berry profile, ruby chocolate offers a unique alternative to traditional dark, milk and white varieties. Paired with Australian macadamia nuts and enhanced with native superfoods, RubyMac was developed to deliver both indulgence and a distinctive Australian point of difference for the export market. Our Strategic Contribution: At the product’s early development stage, we designed a series of high-end packaging concepts positioned as a luxury gift or personal treat. The brief focused on creating a refined, elegant presentation - something you’d instinctively reach for in an airport lounge or duty-free store as a premium takeaway gift. The packaging was designed with high-end retail environments in mind, including duty-free stores, David Jones, gourmet food retailers, premium gift shops and curated hampers. The final direction emphasises a sophisticated gift-box feel, aligning with the expectations of a predominantly millennial, female audience seeking indulgence that balances elegance, wellness and modern luxury.
